DJ Versus (moniker of Daniel Genchev) started his djing career at the tender age of 14 playing commercial music at discos and clubs in his home town. His obsession to Hi-Fi equipment and appreciation for the quality sound were the main reasons that led to a change in his musical taste. Versus became addicted to the electronic music which fascinated him with it`s quality pumped-up sound, it`s energy and the messages it carries. What followed was a number of parties promoted by him, gigs around the whole country and abroad. After he met DJ Smooke their friendship, similar ideas and musical tastes led to the creation of their own label and promoting company called "HITEX Promotions". They soon gained momentum and became one of the leading promotion crews in Bulgaria. Fans associate them with excellent parties marked by the sound that make the people dance.
Known for his high-quality sets he became a resident of several clubs around Bulgaria [Stereo / Blagoevgrad, Alien`s / Sofia, Fashion / Nova Zagora, City / Nova Zagora] and achieved a residence of the most popular broadcast for house music in Bulgaria - 'MasterMix' at radio NRJ / Bulgaria. He had gigs in some of the most famous clubs in Bulgaria and abroad like Plazma / Plovdiv, Comics / Varna, Arrogance / Varna, Spartacus / Sofia, Cosmopolitan / Stara Zagora, Phobia / Stara Zagora, LifeHouse / Sofia, Scream / Sofia, Underground Vol.2 / Blagoevgrad, Da House of Underground / Blagoevgrad, Stereo / Blagoevgrad, Excess / Bourgas, Fix Industry / Thessaloniki - Greece, Mylos / Thessaloniki - Greece, Belvue / Skopie - Macedonia, Tocak - Serbia / Novi Sad
Versus prefers progressive, tribal, vocal and electro house following the latest world music tendencies. He has played along world famous DJs like Paco Maroto, Sergio Fernandez, Carlos Manaca, Rick Pier O`Neil, Miguel Mercedes, Jerry Ropero, David Morales, Syke'n'Sugarstarr, Ian Carey, Michael Simon, Denis the Menace, Clubworxxx, Edgar Canete, Richi, DJane Angel, Mike Jackson, Max Brown, Sven Vath, Carl Cox, Marco Bailey, Surgeon, Speedy J, Sven Wittekind, Christian Fischer, Redhead, Boss, Kay D. Smith, Amok, Slobodan, Thomas Heckman, Lori The HiFi Princess, Deetron, Ivee, Miss Sunshine, Gabriel Palomo, Radan Mach and more.
He is one of the most important names in the Bulgarian electronic scene and works hard to keep up with the crowd`s expectations.
