On Thurs March 23rd 06, Defected Records presents a 17 hour showcase ‘all dayer’ where it will proudly present its major artist and releases for 2006 to over 5000 people. It will be held at Nikki Beach, the beautiful beachside outdoor venue on South Beach, Miami. It has been described by some as ‘the sexiest place on earth’ this certainly rings true, not just of the fantastic mix of people at the event, who’s club wear consists of bikini’s and board shorts but also for the music which during the day will be sexy, energetic and driving.
Miami is an amazing place, it is the winter glamour destination. A 24/7 catwalk, 365 days of the year. Each spring when the Winter Music Conference and M3 Summit coincide with Ultrafest the area is invaded by a host of nations who turn the locality into a week long clubbing Mecca populated by the worlds best DJ’s, producers, promoters and serious clubbers. Defected Records has contributed its fair share of this madness and the party returns in 2006 with their most ambitious project yet.

At night you’ll find that the mood changes and will switch to a more disco and soulful vibe. The atmosphere throughout can be described as nothing short of electric and no clubbing experience can compare to dancing all day and night on the beach. You will get to hear some of the best international DJ’s in the world including, Danny Krivit, Martin Solveig, Bob Sinclar, Dimitri from Paris, Sandy Rivera and Joey Negro. Also this is the first time in years that Junior Jack and Kid Crème have attended the conference and they are doing so especially for this party. Breaking up the dominance of the DJ sets will be our LIVE performances.
Defected are fortunate to have some of the House music’s finest vocalists available to perform at the event. Expect to see live P.A’s throughout the day and night from the likes of Blaze, Lee Fields (Jealousy, I’m a good man and Everybody), the soul and acid jazz diva Monique Bingham, and the legendary Barbara Tucker who will host the event and perform the soon to be re-released Blaze – Feat Barbara Tucker – Most Precious Love. Shovel (M people) will be on hand all day delivering a fitting Cuban vibe on percussion. The event will be filmed exclusively by Rapture TV and broadcast live on the XM Satellite Network which covers the length and breadth of America and streamed live on the Defected website.
