Giuseppe Ottaviani is one half of the well-known italian project: NU NRG (www.nunrg.it) who have been releasing on Vandit Records , Paul Van Dyks renowned label, since 2001. Giuseppe was born in a small town near Rome, Italy and started to play the piano at the age of 4. As a seven-year-old boy, he attended a music school in Viterbo, where he grew up. He studied classical music for pianoforte when he got bored by the theoretical lessons which kept him away from the instrument itself. He left the school but continued his studies with a private musical tutor who was able to handle his pupils passion and enhance his musical skills. He took a closer look into dance when some of his friends introduced him to electronic music and gave him some CD´s. At 15 he started dj-ing in various clubs and parties in his area and in 1998 he played his first two hours sets on air at the local radio station. His deep enthusiasm for anything related to technology led to him beginning to use his computer to make and produce his own music. He started with Cubase Lite and created his first tracks in a small home studio. Giuseppe met Andrea Ribeca - the other half of NU NRG - in 1999 (an electronic music enthusiast and dj, too) and both quickly decided to start their own music project: NU NRG, Giuseppe´s starting point as a professional musician and producer. They released their first 12\" on Vandit Records with their club anthem Dreamland in 2001, followed by the Spaceflower EP, Connective and their fantastic debut album Free Fall in 2004. In the meantime they started touring as a LIVE Act and produced various remixes and attained a series of achievements last but not least, the Trance Award 2004 prize as Best Live Act. Thanks to all the experience they gained, playing with the best DJ\'s in the world, such as Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten... and performing at the best parties and events all around the globe such as Love Parade Berlin, WMC Ultra Music Festival Miami, Street Parade Zurich, Mayday, Gatecrasher, Nature One, Creamfields, Dance Valley... Giuseppe learned how to read and inspire his audience. 2005 saw Giuseppe start his solo career and to produce his own first music. Being a musician he loves to play the keyboards and will focus on his Live Act in the near future. His direction will be focused on the communication with people and to share the same emotions through his music. Playing my own music live is something special, something that really touches me Giuseppe says, it is an electronic music concert, performing on stage allows you to get through to the people, they really breathe the music, you can establish a two-way bond with them and the music itself changes and reacts to the people, this is why each show is different, unique. His first release as solo artist was Linking People on Vandit 52 which has been included on Paul van Dyk’s album The Politics of Dancing 2, a very successful release followed by Until Monday on Vandit 58 the track made with German’s DJ Marc van Linden. Giuseppe made lots of remixes as well for dj/producers like John O’Callaghan, Mr. Groove and Vergas, Lawrence Palmer, Alex MORP and Woody van Eyden. In the meantime Nu Nrg won his 2nd Trance Award for the 2nd year as best live act which has made Giuseppe really proud to be part of the duo.
